Tom Miller

Thomas Miller, BSc (Hons), MD, MSc, CCFP (EM), CCPE, FCFP Tom has a BSc (Hons) in chemistry from Trent University and a Masters of Science Policy from the University of Manchester. After working briefly as a health policy analyst for Health Canada (Environmental Health Directorate), he attended medical school at McMaster (1988-1991) and completed his residency in Family Medicine there in 1993. Between 1993-1998 he worked part-time in emergency and family medicine, completed 1.5 years of a psychiatry residency (McMaster) and was involved in the Health of Children in War Zones Project (McMaster) as Co-coordinator and lead author of the Gaza Child Health Survey. He moved to Peterborough in 1998 and has been working full-time in emergency medicine. During his time at PRHC he has been the Lead Preceptor for Queen’s family medicine residents (2000-2003), Chief (2003-2008) and Medical Director (2006-2011), Dept of Emergency Medicine; he was a member of Trent University Board of Governors

Lawrence Ebisuzaki

Lawrence completed a BSc and MSc in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto and then went on to complete an MD and residency in General Surgery, also at U of T.He started his general surgery practice in Peterborough in 2002, opening an office at the Peterborough Clinic, where he was a member of the executive committee for a number of years.At PRHC, he has held various administrative positions including the General Surgery Division Lead. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Queen’s, acting as a preceptor for residents in Family Medicine and General Surgery. He has been the Vice president of the PSA since 2022.

Sarah completed a BSc (honours) in Biochemistry at Queen’s University, then went on to complete an MD and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Manitoba. She completed her Infectious Disease training at McMaster. She started working at PRHC in 2020. At PRHC, she has held various administrative positions including the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program lead and the Epic Physician Co-lead. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Queen’s, acting as a preceptor for residents in Family Medicine. She has been the secretary/treasurer of the PSA since 2024.

Dr Mahim is a graduate of the American University of Caribbean medical school where he got his MD and Masters of Health sciences. He did his residency in Internal Medicine in Southfield MIchigan’s Providence Hospital, before going to New Brunswick to practice Internal Medicine for several years. Finding that his calling was in cardiology, he then attended Western Universities Cardiology Fellowship program before going back to Fredericton to practice as a cardiologist. In 2008 with his family they moved to Peterborough to be closer to their relatives and set up the Apex Cardiology Services and Apex Diagnostic Services Labs here. Between 2013 and 2017 he provided services of Secretary and Treasurer for the Professional Staff Association advocating for his medical staff colleagues. In 2024 he retired from the active staff at PRHC and now works in the community alongside his colleagues providing general Cardiology, Nuclear medicine and General radiology services at their IHF to patients fr

Keegan Selby
Dr Selby has been the Professional Staff Associations Secretary/Treasurer since 2020. He completed his undergrad in Health Sciences at McMaster University and then Doctor of Medicine at Western University. He went on to complete both his Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine fellowship at Queen’s University. Since 2017 he has worked in the Peterborough Regional Health Centre’s Emergency Department. He also works part time as a coroner in Peterborough County.When not at work you may find him toiling on his hobby farm with his wife, trying to reign in their five children.
